Keystroke for Notification window

Markus Besch 3 months ago in Features / General • updated by Michal Sobotkiewicz (Customers Advocate) 3 months ago 1

As the Notification Stream/window is essential for the daily work it will be used often a day.
Would be very helpful to get a simple keystroke to open it, and close it (while it concealed the right 1/4 of the screen).

Answer

Great Idea, we will implement it as soon as we can

Individual customization of notifications

Lukas 7 months ago • updated 7 months ago 3

Although KanBo already is quite customizable our team identified the wish to also customize the notifications.

The idea is, for example, to be able to set different colors (or other options) for different kinds of notifications. In addition, the different kinds of notifications could also be prioritized individually.

Export a basic excel list (report)

Melanie 10 months ago in Features / Board • updated by Michal Sobotkiewicz (Customers Advocate) 9 months ago 2

We have a case where we need to provide progress reports to management and also align with other colleagues on topics with each sprint. We need to generate an excel list of cards. This just needs to be a simple list of card names, members, labels, list, and progress/status.

Ideally, we should be able to export a list directly from KanBo based on the filters we have applied (so export the list of cards that we are currently seeing on screen).

The KanBo Data Collector does not help, as this is too detailed and too time consuming to filter through only the required topics and updates.

Alternatively, If we could see this type of view (listed basic information) directly on KanBo then we could just copy & paste the information easily into excel. This simple view report is essential and high priority for this tool to be useful in our business.

Transparency of user authorisations

Laura Trosin 2 years ago in Users • updated by Michal Sobotkiewicz (Customers Advocate) 10 months ago 7

Since updating to KanBo 2.5 user authorisations are not transparent anymore: Only board owners have an overview of the user authorisations via the user management whereas board members or visitors only see who is authorised but not on which level.

This is probably due to the egalitarian apprach of the tool (and yes, it could be an option to ask in the board chat/discussions e.g. who is a board owner and has permission to add more board members) but at the same time for me this opacity doesn't really fit to KanBo where everything else is transparent.

For a future version it would be nice to have the user authorisations transparently shown in every board again.

Recurring cards available?

lukas_maximilian.kruse 2 weeks ago in Features / Card • updated by Kate Bo (Support) 2 weeks ago 2

Dear Kanbo support,

In my team there came up the question if recurring cards are available in Kanbo as well? For example, in Outlook you create a recurring appointment once and it appears automatically several times within the time frame you have set. Since we have cards that are basically the same every month it would be great if they show up automatically every month.

Looking forward to your answer! Thanks a lot in advance

Best,

Lukas Kruse

Velocity/Capacity planning by having any feature to add efforts required along with it’s easy calculation

ernst.khan 2 months ago in Features • updated by Michal Sobotkiewicz (Customers Advocate) 2 months ago 3

I would like to have effort added to each task and it should be easy to export and calculate. Expected out come: If would like to know, who is having how many efforts targeted and achieved.

Answer

This will be possible the moment we add custom fields to cards. There will be no specific field for that.

Rules for Board views

andre 4 months ago in Features / Board • updated by Michal Sobotkiewicz (Customers Advocate) 3 months ago 1

Hi, we have a board with 4 lists (upcoming topics, current week, next week, next month). The idea is to show how is the workload for each user. But when I take the user list then I see the cards sort by youngest to oldest, unfortunately this doesn't help.

It’s possible that the user can define a own sort rule? In our case current week, next week, next month, upcoming topics? So we would see better the current workload status.

Thx a lot!

Answer

There will be a feature allowing you to sort by date in each list in each view. But KanBo cannot know the meaning of your lists so we do recomend the usage of due dates - just for orientation.

It would be nice if KanBo supports a touch based moving of cards in the board-zone.

Is it possible to export the calendar e.g. as an ICS so that we could import the dates in our regular calendar (which in our case is Lotus Notes based)?
